research the availability of parts for your build 

note cost of parts as will need for budgeting 


Budget  

Make a budget for your build (including worst case scenario's part failure mechanic error)

Parts List for build 

Labor cost 

paint cost

Mechanic/Friend/Yourself for their time

body work / structural

Electrics

storage if applicable 


Compartmentalize build

Split into components Structural, Mechanical, Body work, Interior, Electrics and In Car Entertainment

Structural: Strip build (Car) remove all rust an repair shell's structural integrity rust protect an spray 

Structural: sound deaden large panels an refit Start

Mechanical: Start to rebuild mechanical parts to build (Car) rolling shell stage

Bodywork: fit bonnet, boot and doors ensuring fitment sand fill and prime (good time to do modding recover any exposed metal with paint)

Bodywork: Remove all doors, bonnet and boot 

Mechanical:  Start build reconstruction an all necessary testing as you go

Electrics: Run Electrics to start an test build good time to add some sound deadening (good time to do modding) 

Bodywork: fit bonnet, boot and doors ensuring fitment

Bodywork: ETC.....


Scheduled Works Order/list

create scheduled works the order in which to do the build this will aid in minimizing waste an time and will aid in cost monitoring as this will let you know where you stand in build  add in keeping track of build 

Also add sub timeline to build as some smaller jobs are time consuming and are not check-able till after car bought and tear down begins


The Build 

Safety is a must as bad things can happen when not paying attention in the work shop
